Bringing center court to House of Hoops through retail environment design
When we took over Toronto’s flagship House of Hoops location to introduce consumers to Nike’s Connected NBA Jersey, we wanted to awe consumers with an amazing sensory journey that made them feel just like they were in an arena, waiting for tip-off.
Creating a complete branded
environment from the details up
In order to really own this space, we tapped in to the visual language and materials of the NBA’s great courts, using authentic court wood in the décor and industrial propping. We hung well-known jerseys from the rafters, and built a massive 3D extruded collage wall of iconic NBA moments. Merchandise lived in specially-designed custom display cases, and the environment was finished with custom-designed elevated signage and Toronto-inspired in store graphics throughout.
Turning retail merchandising into a retail experience
We created several touchpoints to make this into an immersive, shareable experience. Photo booths with jersey décor gave visitors perfectly-shareable moments, and multi-media screens throughout the store displayed videos our team had edited together. To make this event even more personal, we created a customization station, encouraging visitors to leave their mark on their newly purchased jerseys, giving them a totally one-of-a-kind souvenir.
