From an empty space to premium pop-up shop.
With 80% of women having the wrong support for their sport of choice, it was vital to design a space that fostered a sense of community where women could share their stories and get educated.
Working with Nike and Sport Check we created the Nike BraHaus event – a bra-fitting boutique and an inspirational space that celebrated the power of women in sports.
We started with a blank canvas – literally.
The location was a completely vacant 2,200 sq ft. space in Yorkdale Mall, Toronto that didn’t even have floor tiles, yet alone electricity. We started the process with a photo-realistic 3D modelling of the space, which we used to transform it into a premium tailored experience that included custom fabrication, large format prints, lighting and sound. We also complemented the raw concrete walls with warm tones, inviting textures, and lush greenery to truly give the space a sense of welcoming. Experiential concept development was key, as we designed the entire store layout from the chandeliers to mannequin risers.
A lasting experience that went above and beyond everyday transactions.
We wanted this to be a memorable, empowering, and educational experience. So, we designed the space to facilitate special, shareable moments for everyone involved. Driven by experiential design, we built custom hangout spots to encourage engagement, and invested less into inventory in order to really make the experience the focus. Consultants and stylists were hired to ensure that people could find their perfect fit. A matcha bar, photo booth, and polaroid takeaways contributed to the overall experience.
An experience worth sharing.
Focusing on the consumer’s experience yielded great results: all 5 days of the event were completely booked, and there was a significant increase in sales. On the social spectrum, we saw a phenomenal rate of organic shares on social media thanks to our interactive displays. Most importantly, that 80% of women we wanted to reach left feeling a lot more comfortable and much more confident.
