Retail store design that stays out of the customer’s way
The owners of PopBox wanted to open a high-end, healthy convenience store that swapped junk foods for whole foods. Think premium sundries tucked alongside a curated selection of locally-renown breakfast treats and coffee. Knowing that breakfast would be the busiest time of day, we created a space that was bright and inviting, with a thoughtful store layout design that could handle long lineups without impeding customers who were just popping in for a green juice.

Making the space pop with design
When it came to the environmental graphic design, we picked orange as the primary colour. Not only does it make people feel hungry, but it’s also warm and inviting, making this space feel immediately friendly. We stuck with neutrals for the rest of the space so as not to compete with all the brightly-coloured packaging.

Extending retail graphic design to the brand
We also developed PopBox’s new logo and branding to match their new retail space. We picked a friendly, clever fox as the logo, representing the speed at which a customer can grab what they need on the go. We also chose a character to represent the space to give customers an instantly recognizable icon that reinforces the brand and the brand environment.
