Imagining a retail environment for the World’s Most Lovable Sponge
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! Who created a retail display for Kyrie Irving’s SpongeBob Collab? Central Station! When Nike dropped Kyrie Irving’s SpongeBob/Nickelodeon collection, we built an undersea world worthy of the iconic sponge.

Kyrie Irving is a huge fan of 90’s tv, specifically one cheery, optimistic, pants-wearing Sponge. So, his collection had five different sneakers inspired by the five main characters: SpongeBob, Squidward, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, and Mr. Krabs. Each of our five unique pedestals reflected both the character design and sneaker design, amplifying the shoes and the characters. We also created clear custom bubbles to display the shoes.



A brand environment where Sandy Cheeks met sandy floors
It’s not really an authentic undersea world without sand, so we custom-built an irregular-shaped sub-floor and brought in real sand to cover it. We filled the area with custom-painted props inspired by SpongeBob’s colourful, animated world, as well as some bright basketballs in a nod to Kyrie. Then, we all celebrated another successful retail installation with an after-party at The Krusty Krab.
